Best PR success:Winning a CIPR Gold Award for media relations in 2006 for Queens’ College, Cambridge. The brief was to promote their catering and conferences division which was headed up by a Michelin Star Chef and Amanda achieved extensive media national, broadcast, trade and regional press. Much of the PR was research-based which meant eating lots of gourmet meals – it’s a tough life!
Hobbies: Often seen sporting a green visor (but not in client meetings), Amanda is a keen social poker player. In 2005 she founded Cambridge Poker Academy teaching Texas Hold’em to novices. She enjoys fine wine and has recently come back from wine tasting in South Africa and New Zealand. Cooking is a favourite pastime and her ambition is to appear on ‘Come Dine with Me’ on Channel 4.
