  Refreshed image inspires adult learning

Since BOTTLE PR was appointed the agency for Surrey County Council Adult and Community Learning (ACL) in February, awareness of adult learning classes on offer across Surrey has gone from strength to strength. The building of a network of relationships between BOTTLE PR and adult learning service's managers has been a key factor in the success.

Autumn enrolments in 2008 have increased on average by 14% across Surrey’s adult learning centres compared to last year. Some learning centres have seen an increase in people signing up for classes of nearly 40%.

Surrey County Council ACL currently provides over 1,000 different courses throughout the year for adults and families in seven learning centres across the county.
An integrated marketing and PR push began in February to inspire adults to learn new skills and improve wellbeing. BOTTLE PR re-branded Surrey County Council’s ACL service including a new logo and brochure concept.

Ongoing PR includes featuring learners’ and tutors’ success stories in the Surrey media. Success to date includes many positive articles published in press including Surrey Life, Surrey Advertiser, the News and Mail Series and Surrey Times. Journalists have also been invited to try courses themselves which has also resulted in features in the county’s key newspapers.

The Spring brochure has just been launched, with new healthy living classes for a fit start to the New Year. Popular traditional classes feature again, as well as new and more unusual classes from Ballroom Dancing to Nordic Walking.
