The public relations consultants from BOTTLE go punting
OnTuesday the BOTTLE team took the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather and ventured into Oxford to go punting in mark of the quarterly company away day.
However, seeing as many of us had never even seen a punt before let alone been on one, it seemed the trip would not be not so much a relaxing trip down the river, but more a mission to simply stay onboard! While the teams that included some experienced punters successfully drifted off into the distance, some of the teams remained at a standstill – whilst being berated by an increasingly irate man working in the boathouse – which definitely helped the few in question develop some team building skills to get moving.
Once all the punts were on the move – albeit at very different speeds – the teams pulled in for some liquid refreshment at The Victoria Arms. After we all made it back onto solid ground, with a great sense of achievement and, more importantly, with a full set of dry clothes, we finished our social with a well-deserved dinner at the Portobello restaurant in Summertown. All in all it’s fair to say that BOTTLE had a fantastic social, so a huge thanks to everyone involved in organising it and to everyone that came along!
