BOTTLE PR scoops two top industry awards for Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance

BOTTLE took home both a gold and silver award at the Thames and Chiltern CIPR PRide Awards on 23 February. Both awards were for The Cloud 999 Campaign which they devised and executed for the life-saving Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) last year.

BOTTLE PR won the Gold Award for Use of Photography, Design or New Media, and the Silver Award for the best Charity or Non-Profit Campaign. Collecting the award BOTTLE PR managing director Claire Cairns said: �We are thrilled with these awards. We are very proud of The Cloud 999 Campaign which we launched in May 2006 with a visit from Brazilian footballer Pel�.

BOTTLE PR developed defined sponsorship packages, a new brand for the WNAA including a website, a brochure for corporate sponsors and supporters, and a two pronged media strategy. The first media approach was to touch their hearts by showing WNAA in action in real-life emergencies, and the second was through the endorsement of a high profile and inspirational celebrity. Brazilian legend Pel� was contacted for the launch in May to appear at and endorse the Cloud 999 launch event.

The Cloud 999 Campaign generated 119 pieces of press and online coverage in just six weeks reaching approximately 3,400,000 people. TV coverage including Sky News, BBC Midlands Today and ITV Central News. Radio coverage was achieved on stations including Mercia FM, 100.7 Heart FM, Rugby FM and Capital Gold. Press coverage was achieved in titles including: The Guardian, BBC online, Yorkshire Post, Manchester Evening News, Birmingham Post and Coventry Evening Telegraph.

A visit from a global icon to a small team on a cold, wet day in Coventry was always going to be challenging � not least due to the attendance of the mass media. The sheer volume of media coverage we have received together with our new brand identity have united the crew, our trustees, and our supporters and galvanized us all to achieve our �2 million target.�
