Caspian Publishing (Real Business) has hired BOTTLE PR on a four month contract to publicise the prestigious Asian Women of Achievement Awards in its ninth year. PR got off to a flying start last month with an intensive day of interviews for the awards’ figurehead Pinky Lilani and the spearhead of Lloyds TSB’s sponsorship of the awards, Kamel Hothi.
The duo are used to promoting the event with Asian communities by coming together for an intensive day of interviews in the week of the nominations deadline. With just a few days’ notice, BOTTLE PR booked a radio studio, organised 11 radio interviews, generating nearly two hours of airtime for the popular business women.
BOTTLE PR’s focus in the coming months will be on ensuring that the coverage of the Awards ceremony itself is maintained, whilst securing national news and features highlighting the short-listed candidates and winners.
Another Caspian event is the ‘Women of the Future’ awards, for which we entered Vicky Jewson in 2006. Having become ‘Arts, Media and Culture Woman of the Future’ that year, Vicky went on to maintain contact with and secure support from Pinky and other high profile celebrities who attended. This contact has lead to Vicky taking part in the award’s ‘Economic Empowerment Summit’, alongside leading international business women. It is relationship-building like this, as well as the valuable coverage that can be secured, that makes BOTTLE PR a firm believer in the value of awards.
