re:creation, distributor and developer of exclusive, original toys, enlisted BOTTLE to ensure it stood out at this year’s Toy Fair.
Marking the third consecutive year that BOTTLE has managed re:creation’s PR presence at the UK’s only dedicated toy, game and hobby exhibition, the BOTTLE team set out to raise media awareness of re:creation’s brands in an increasingly competitive market.
In a bid to engage journalists and encourage them to spend longer at re:creation’s stand, BOTTLE hosted an Journalist Challenge in which media visitors aimed one of re:creation’s latest toys, the Air Storm foam launcher, at hit a target which dominated one wall of the re:creation stand. The challenge proved popular with journalists vying for top spot, and BOTTLE’s use of social media throughout the event resulted in journalists from publications including MSN and Stuff tweeting about their scores.
Through a relentless approach to pre-event media relations, BOTTLE secured one on one product briefings with all key trade media titles and consumer titles including The Sun, Toxic, KiCk!, MATCH!, Girl Talk, MSN and Stuff.
As well as strengthening relationships with target media and raising awareness of re:creation’s news and existing brands, BOTTLE achieved extensive national, consumer and trade media coverage around Toy Fair, including:
- Key placement in the official Toy Fair daily newspaper
- Product coverage on BBC Breakfast, The Sun, MSN, Stuff.tv, Toxic, Toyology.co.uk
- Coverage in key trade titles including Toys ‘n’ Playthings, Toy News, Toy World and The Grocer
The gallery of re:creation’s products that featured on MSN ranked as one of the site’s top five ‘best performing’ pieces of content in January 2013, receiving over 282,000 views to date. Now that’s what BOTTLE calls a vivid result!
