BOTTLE helped secure the film’s cinematic release for first-time director

Jewson Film Productions started when Vicky Jewson decided, aged 18 that she was going to fulfil her life long dream of making a feature film. She wrote Lady Godiva and raised £1.2million to make it. The film came out on general release in January 2008.

In this British romantic comedy we meet Jemima Honey, hard working art teacher still living at home with her domineering eccentric mother. She champions the causes of local kids to escape the hum-drum but her life is thrown into the public eye when she, by chance, encounters the charming and notorious Michael Bartle.  But is he too perfect for our down to earth heroin? After each seeing their different worlds and much soul searching romance ensues.

Set against the backdrop of the Medieval era and the story of the proud and determined Lady Godiva of 11th Century, our Godiva breaks all the moulds and conquers, her demonsand rides naked through modern day Oxford, winning her self belief and her very own happily ever after.
