Former PR Manager for Symantec Joins BOTTLE

Verity Blake, former PR Manager for Norton Internet Security, Symantec’s consumer business division, is the latest addition to the corking PR team at BOTTLE.

Verity has been appointed as a senior PR consultant and will be responsible for directing and leading accounts such as Validata, leaders in Application Lifecycle Management software and g2i, an investment readiness programme for SMEs. Verity will also be working on accounts such as AXA ICAS and supporting BOTTLE’s new business development programme.

“Verity has led and managed a number of high profile PR and media campaigns for organisations such as Ericsson, 3 and Symantec and brings with her a real depth and breadth of experience across all areas of PR including corporate affairs, stakeholder relations, crisis management and media relations,” said Claire Cairns, joint Managing Director at BOTTLE. “We’re very pleased to have Verity on board and delighted with the value she can bring to both our clients and business.”

Verity joined BOTTLE after working in-house as PR manager for Norton Internet security and as Corporate Affairs Manager for Ericsson and 3 mobile operator. As PR Manager for Norton, Verity managed proactive PR campaigns including an Internet Safety In Schools campaign, which received more coverage than ever before in major national and regional broadcast, online and print press and social media outlets. Verity also has a very strong background in public affairs and crisis management, having managed media, public sector and community relations campaigns for five years for Ericsson and 3 to support planning applications for the construction of mobile phone networks.

Verity said: “I’m delighted to be joining the BOTTLE PR team and to be working on such great accounts. BOTTLE is growing at such a fast pace, winning some fantastic accounts, that it’s a great time to be joining such a talented team. I’m looking forward to taking a lead role in contributing to the company’s growth and success.”
