In the past four weeks BOTTLE consultants have donned their running attire and run 13 miles for charity.
The first run took place in Northamptonshire in early October. The Northamptonshire 10k run was held in aid of several charities including one particularly close to BOTTLE - Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA).
The consultancy worked closely with WNAA in raising the charity’s profile for two years before the PR was taken in-house recently, and some of the consultants who are taking part worked closely with the WNAA team so it gave them that extra push when running the course through the town.
Taking part was Will Cairns, Carole Scott, Tracey Warmington, Kirsty Gilbride and Abbie Strudley.
Last Sunday, Will, Tracey and Abbie also took part in The Great South Run – a 10 mile run in Portsmouth in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
BOTTLE ran alongside its client, Poundland, to raise money for its nominated charity of the year.
Will Cairns, BOTTLE’s Joint Managing Director, commented: “Two races in one month was a challenge but the training went well and the team who took part were very proud of themselves after Sunday – it was the furthest they had ever run so a great achievement.”
I took part myself and I set the team a mini challenge to raise as much money as they could, and the company would match it. Between us we raised just over £1,000.”
