BOTTLE partners with local initiative to promote volunteering in Oxfordshire
BOTTLE is delighted to announce that it has partnered with ROBIN (Responsible Oxfordshire Business Involvement Network) to promote the benefits of membership and provide advice and support for its inVOLve project – an initiative across Oxfordshire which helps to develop skills based employer supported volunteering across the county. BOTTLE will be providing expertise to communicate to local businesses the benefits of how becoming involved in the project and joining ROBIN can help them, whilst also volunteering staff time to help the community.
The inVOLve initiative is just one way ROBIN plans to meet its aim of bringing business, voluntary and public sectors together to share skills and resources creatively for the benefit of the Oxfordshire community.
The inVOLve project was started to encourage local businesses to engage employees in essential skilled volunteer work. There is a vast range of volunteering opportunities from helping with a local football team to advising on business in areas such as marketing, PR and design. The initiative utilises the volunteer’s personal and professional skills and interests, to work with local charities and community projects that require help.
Claire Cairns, Managing Director of BOTTLE said: “We are absolutely delighted to be partnering with ROBIN. The inVOLve initiative is a great way for local businesses to engage with the community whilst also giving staff the opportunity to use their own interests and hobbies to help Oxfordshire.
“We are looking forward to putting our skills to good use and becoming actively involved in inVOLve!”
Grant Hayward, Local Business Partnership Coordinator for Oxfordshire said; “BOTTLE immediately recognised the benefits of joining and supporting ROBIN and involve. I am already impressed at how professional and enthusiastic the team is and we are really looking forward to working more closely with them.”
