BOTTLE 2.0 briefing advised on online brand and reputation
The BOTTLE 2.0 briefing held on 12 March was the first of our seminars offering expertise in how Web 2.0 can be exploited to help businesses manage their brand and reputation. The seminar was held by Adrian Moss who heads up BOTTLE PR’s Web 2.0 division, which offers new media and digital PR services to clients.
“The web today is no longer static and advertorial. Customer behaviour is changing and sources of information are changing which means businesses need to re-think the way they communicate with customers. The web provides a direct and honest channel of communication for businesses which is vital in our competitive world.”
The seminar was attended by a range of Oxfordshire and London-based businesses who all shared their thoughts, concerns and ideas on web 2.0 in lively discussions throughout the workshop.
Paul Sutton, director of the Pet Extraordinarium, said: ‘It was a few hours well spent and I got a lot out of it. The seminar reinforced my own thinking on what I need to do, but more than that it gave me a lot of tips and inspiration to do better as an independent business.”
The breakfast briefing included a snapshot history of Web 2.0, from its origins in 2004 to today with millions of active users. Adrian used examples of Dell and Poundland in his talk about how Web 2.0 and social media is changing the way people communicate with customers and prospects.
BOTTLE PR donated the workshop fee to our charity the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
