| CASE STUDY: BE UNLIMITED |
 |
Broadband provider Be UnLimited appointed BOTTLE PR to launch the company and raise its profile among its peers and in the trade media. This it did – with stunning success! The launch event at Tower Bridge in London was attended by 300 industry and media contacts.
In the UK’s crowded ISP sector, Be quickly emerged as the most talked-about company and attracted over 10,000 registrations even before announcing the price. This was due to BOTTLE PR’s excellent media and industry contacts and use of the most up-to-date PR techniques available, both online and offline. Commercial success followed with Be becoming part of O2.
| CASE STUDY: WABBADABBA |
|
Search engine wabbadabba, which is powered by Yahoo!, has the added twist of offering users the chance of winning a prize – just for searching. When it needed winning PR ideas, wabbadabba turned to BOTTLE PR. The launch campaign was a roaring success, with a 400% increase in site users and a staggering 1,000% increase in revenue generated, less than three months into the campaign.
Media highlights included a three-minute slot on Radio 2’s The Steve Wright programme, which featured wabbadabba as its ‘website of the day’. This alone generated over 1,000 extra users. The campaign also resulted in coverage in Stuff magazine, Web User, Tech.co.uk and around 50 different blog sites.
“BOTTLE PR is a breath of fresh air. It is a pleasure to work with a firm that delivers on time, on budget, and with enthusiasm. We have seen a fantastic change to our bottom line as a direct result of the work they have done. In just one day, we had a 4x increase in the number of unique visitors, and a 10x increase in revenue...which is nice!”
Ben Akin-Smith, Head of Innovation, wabbadabba
| CASE STUDY: GE DIGITAL CAMERAS |
|
When technology, media and financial services giant GE and General Imaging, the worldwide exclusive licensee for GE digital cameras, joined forces, they chose BOTTLE PR to launch their range. GE digital cameras, the company’s first venture into the UK consumer electronics market, are now set to take on market leaders.
Campaign plans include a high-profile media launch event in London and subsequent ongoing PR to support the products in the UK. It will also highlight that GI has some of the premier names in the global imaging industry behind it, including Hugh Komiya and Yasuhisa Nishida, as well as Gary Sutton and Gary Banks in the UK.
A broader perspective on your projects
Tools or toys? Today, the line is blurring between devices used for work and recreation. So, you’ll be pleased to know that BOTTLE PR brings great experience of supporting leading technology companies in the SME and enterprise space, such as IBM and Nortel, and also many companies in the business-to-business sector.
We also work on influential public sector campaigns that drive the adoption of new technologies. A key example is the South East England Development Agency ‘Unfair Advantage’ campaign to create a network of wireless internet access points across the South East and promote the take-up of broadband.
