IT/telecoms experience
Business-to-business technology: a full BOTTLE
Technology is a BOTTLE PR sector strength.
BOTTLE PR’s directors worked within the technology sector for many years. For example, Will was PR Director at Nortel for four years after working with ntl for several years. Claire has worked with many IT clients during her career, including IBM and ISPs VIA NET.WORKS, Be UnLimited and Freeserve. Together they have over 20 years’ experience within the IT and telecoms sector.
BOTTLE PR has other consultants with specialist in-house and agency expertise in the B2B technology and telecommunications sector. Their skills come from working with innovative start-ups and successful established corporate clients in the industry. Our team of consultants has worked on global brands such as BlackBerry, Telstra and Logitech, Symantec and Norton Internet Security, Ericsson and 3, through to start-ups such as Envisional, Ubisense, VBN, Teltier Technologies and Band-X.
This knowledge of the sector gives us excellent relationships with the science and technology media – online, print and broadcast.
And we bring to all that our experience of working with leading technology companies in consumer IT; with public sector organisations which drive adoption of new technologies; and with business-to-business companies across the UK.
We’re good at this.

Understanding that IT organisations often need to reach audiences on a global basis, BOTTLE PR has built its own network of preferred independent PR agencies across the globe. These agencies share BOTTLE PR’s culture, ethos and high standards. BOTTLE PR has extensive experience in running and managing global PR campaigns, and often takes on the role as ‘lead agency’ to ensure all regional agencies are working towards one plan, one set of messages and to ensure coordinated communications.
CASE STUDY: Ark Continuity
|
 |
Ark Continuity is one of the leading data centre developers in the UK. Over the past ten years the company has been developing a new data centre campus in Wiltshire and by summer 2009 was ready to launch, as the most environmentally-friendly data centre in Europe.
BOTTLE PR was brought in at relatively short notice to start a PR programme, supporting the company as it made its first announcement to the trade that it had a new model of data centre.
Working closely with the CEO and COO, the team at BOTTLE PR put together a comprehensive PR programme ahead of launch in September.
With a very complex message in a competitive but little understood market, BOTTLE PR first had to work on clear, consistent messaging, from which the entire marketing team could work – from in house sales through to graphic designers.
Ark was key sponsor for GovNet’s Government ICT Goes Green. BOTTLE PR had to work quickly to organise a sponsor’s dinner, where key industry contacts would hear about Spring Park (the data centre campus) for the first time, along with some of the ground-breaking environmental innovations being introduced by Ark.
We work closely with GovNet to ensure the right contacts were invited, including key media, and with the design agency to deliver brochures, pop up stands, an exhibition display, to write the after dinner speech and manage the process of creating a keynote address at the conference itself.
Alongside we prepared the media launch, which went out live on the first day of the conference. Key trade titles picked up the story and this has been followed up by one-to-one briefings, site visits, telephone interviews, article submissions and comment pieces over the past three months. In addition, we organised one-to-one briefings with a select number of key industry analysts, resulting in positive reports and comment.
The strategy is being reviewed in January for the coming year and will include all PR elements, from events through to stakeholder relations, in order to position Ark Continuity as a leading ‘green’ data centre provider.
