e-San, a spin-out company from Oxford University, produced a device combining the use of a standard blood sugar counter with GPS technology to provide more effective monitoring for diabetes sufferers. BOTTLE PR ran a project to promote the results of a clinical trial on Type 2 diabetic sufferers monitoring their own blood sugar levels.
BOTTLE PR’s brief was to reach the medical profession, particularly GPs and diabetic nurses, to generate awareness of the system. We achieved coverage in key titles and set up a well attended seminar at the Diabetes Conference that was
attended by key figures in the medical profession and by leading diabetes and medical journalists generating coverage of the trial results in significant titles.
e-San was able to establish the validity of the device amongst its key target audience and saw a wider take-up of the product by the medical profession.
