professional media training – because ‘no comment’ is no answer

Whether you are raising your organisation’s profile for the first time or you want to fine-tune your approach, BOTTLE PR media training helps you to maximise every contact with the media and build your reputation as an authoritative ‘voice of the industry’.

To prepare you in advance for the questions that could confront you, we’ll carry out in-depth research to ensure the topics covered are focused on your organisation or business. The training itself - for key individuals or small groups - will be conducted by skilled professionals with experience of both sides of the microphone. They have an in-depth understanding of how journalists think and work, and what they want from you.

They’ll train you to keep to your own agenda, avoid being side-tracked and deliver your story and messages in the most effective way possible. There will be practical interview sessions and feedback, so that you and your senior managers become more comfortable handling real interview scenarios. For groups, the training will also feature a round-table discussion to ensure a shared understanding of the key messages and their significance in a media interview.

A take-away CD of the interviews and a follow-up report that details areas of strength and aspects that would benefit from further development ensure that what is learnt on the day stays with you into the future.

What could we do for you?

  • Carefully tailor a training programme that focuses on your business and sector?
  • Help your organisation to handle bad news and even use it as an opportunity to build positive PR?
  • Give your spokesmen and women an insight into what journalists are looking for and how to get the best outcome from a media interview?
  • Help them to keep their cool under pressure?
  • Craft key statements and quotes that journalists use and audiences remember?
